 MICHAEL HARRIS
Patient Experience Coordinator
With over 30 years of experience in mental health, Michael was hired to assist and coordinate efforts so that all patients have an ‘exceptional’ experience while in the hospital. Specific duties include informing patients of the complimentary amenities available, from providing patients with their favorite reading ma-terial to coordinating a patient favorite, massage. “We try to make sure that patients know we will try to meet any reasonable request”.
He conducts patient surveys for quality assurance, promotes the patient education channel, and informs/registers patients with the hospital portal.
He makes rounds daily and helps to ensure issues are resolved quickly when they arise.
Michael makes recommendations for process improvement and best practices among frontline care- givers. Currently, he is involved in the promotion of Bingham Memorial Hospital as a ‘Hospital of Healing”, which emphasizes the great task of exceptional loving
He believes we are at our best when we apply the “Mother Test”, caring for each patient as they were a member of our family. This means taking into consideration all the factors of their well-being (physical,
care for all patients.

Mr.HarrisreceivedaBachelor’s degree in sociology from BYU, a Masters in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma, and a PhD in Psychology
from Alliant University in San Diego, CA.
