       Acupuncture. He attended medical school at
       the University of Illinois in Rockford, Illinois,
       and completed his residency in Physical
       Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University
       of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver,
       Colorado. He initially sub-specialized in Spinal
       Cord Injury Rehabilitation, serving as Associate
       Director of the Spinal Cord Injury program at
       Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation in North
       Carolina. Dr. Bilstrom has extensive experience
       in Functional & Regenerative Medicine,
       Medical Acupuncture, Integrative Medicine, and
       Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

       Dr. Bilstrom is a Fellow of the American
       Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation,
       the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture,
       and the American Academy of Anti-Aging
       Medicine. He lectures nationally and
       internationally on issues related to health and
       wellness, complementary medicine, acupuncture,
       and pain management.


       He was the Founder and Medical Director of
       the Adaptive Sports and Adventure Program
       (A.S.A.P.) at the Charlotte Institute of
       Rehabilitation. Prior to coming to Bingham
       Memorial Hospital, Dr. Bilstrom was the
       Medical Director at The Oasis Center for
       Health—one of the premier Functional &
       Integrated Medical Centers in the Midwest—in
       Hinsdale, Illinois.


       When Dr. Bilstrom is not practicing medicine
       and helping to improve the lives of people
       suffering from chronic diseases, he enjoys
       spending time with his wife and two children.
