FINDING SUSTAINABILITY IN THE PROCESS

I have observed fast fashion and
disposable lifestyles replace
artisanship with exploitation, waste,
and a disregard for the origins of what
we consume. My aim is to mark an
environmental and social contribution
while reviving the designs of the
bamboo-strip jewelry craft. This led
me to think about the re-defining the
processes and materials associated
with the craft.

It included exploring processes like
dyeing, joinery and other organic
materials. It created an even more
meaningful experience as it helped
me to gain insights about the
associated tools and materials.
