Lakmé Fashion Week’s Sustainability Day (2019)
Sustainable fashion is effortlessly the big buzzword in Indian fashion since 2-3 years and picking great.
The Indian fashion industry is evolving to end up a fashion-conscious industry that has a low carbon footprint while
regarding the enchanting effect of human abilities.
The latest boost to this buzz comes from the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) in Mumbai. Lakme India Fashion Week Fall
2013 had taken the initiative that they call Fashion Upcycled that aims at the reuse of excess raw materials by fashion
designers to create retail products. What was formerly developed as Textiles and Handlooms Day each season to rope
in artisans and crafts is currently renamed “Sustainable Fashion Day”.
A network called as Fashion Revolution India has recently escalated as of late raised focus regarding sustainable
fashion, uncommonly beginning “ WHO MADE YOUR CLOTHES” movement.
