Tohelpensurethis,regulardayandnightfiredrils shouldbeheldtomaximizethespeedande百'ectivenes offirstresponders.Wehighlyrecommendthatfireextin- guishers,intemalandextemalfirehydrants,delugeguns, 自renotificationdevices,etc.,beinstaledaroundheritage sites.Simplyinstalingthemisnotenough,however,and itisnecesaryforthoseconcemedtoknowexactlywhere theyareandhowtousethemapropriatelyandefec- tively. Usingsuchequipmentinregulardrilswilmake userscomfortablewiththeirfunctionsandmakeiteasier forregularmaintenance.
Regulardrilsalsoenablepersonstoknowwherekey Buddhiststatues,scriptures,andotherantiqueobjects 訂 einadvance,inaditiontoprovidingoportunities forthemtounderstandregionalhistoryandculturemore deeplyandcontributetodevelopingneighborhoodunity.
EnhancingResponsesthroughTraining: Swiftreport- ingofincidentsto白reandpolicedepartmentsandsuc- cesfulinitialfire-extinguishingresponsescountgreatly inreducingfiredamage.Forthisreason,regulardayand nightfiredrilsshouldbeheldfocusingonprecise,ac- curateresponsestopotentialfires. Instancesoftenarise inwhichfireextinguishers,hydrants,hoses,alarms,etc., areinstaledbutwhoselocationsonsitearenotknown toalwhomayneedtousethemhencetheneedtolet thoseconcemedknowninadvancewheredevicesareand acquaintthemwithhowtousetheseitemsapropriately inemergencies.Havingresidentstakep紅 tininspections ofdisaster-preventionequipmenthelpsensurethattheir functionsarelearnedandrememberedeasily.
ItisalsocrucialthattheyknowwhereBuddhistfig- ures,ancientdocuments,andother訂 tsandcraftsitems areandtoletthemknowtheirexistence,meaningand significance,sincethiscontributestofosteringchildren?s awarenessofsafety.

Thesepersons areoftenelderly,soguidingthemclearlyandkep- ingthemcalmwhiletakingthemtoasafelocationis crucial.Firstaidandotheremergencyreliefcanbe continuedonceatthissaferlocaleonceitisreached.
5.Conclusions
Wehavedetailedinformationaboutculturalheritage sitesinKyotoandHyogo,Japan,andpotentialprotection against fire analyzed t胎 ough question naire responses. Datashowthatsuchsites,althoughvulnerabletofire,can beprotectedswiftinitialresponsetoanoutbreak.Given thatcausesaremostlyduetoarson,preventiontechniques andequipmentandon-sitemonitoringarethemoste百ec- tive,practicalwaystokeepsitessafe.
Providedthatfire-preventionequipmentatsuchsites is suf ficient and exceeds minimum legal requirements makesproperande百ectiveuseanimportantfocusinfire prevention.Weconcludedthattoensurethisrequiredco- operationamongheritagesitepersonel,theauthorities, localmunicipalitiesandlocalresidents. Thesepersons shouldworktogetherandautonomouslythroughorga- nizedcolaborativesystemscreatedtoproducethebest results in 白re prevention at any cultural heritage site, whetherinsideoroutsideofJapan.
