Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho is an independent affiliate of Habitat
for Humanity International. It is through local support and volunteers that
we are able to provide homes, with interest free mortgages to those with the
greatest need in our area, as well as help build houses around the world
through our support of Habitat for Humanity International.

For our ministry to be sustainable and indeed to expand, we have to stick with the principle that says we
offer a hand up, not a hand out. That’s not always easy, but payment for projects is critical to our long-
term viability and the mission to serve more families in need of a safe and affordable place to live in.
