CANDLE LIGHTING
Lighting the candles marks the beginning of Passover and the end of the preparation.
Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha’olam asher kid’shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu I'hadlik ner shel Yom Tov.
Blessed are you, Adonai our God, Ruler of the Universe, Who makes us holy through your commandments and commands us to light the holiday candles.
May the light of the candles we kindle together tonight bring radiance to all who still live in darkness. May this season, marking the deliverance of our people from Pharaoh, rouse us against anyone who keeps others in servitude. Lighting these candles, we sanctify the coming together of our family and community.

Blessed are you, Adonai our God, Ruler of the Universe, Who has kept us alive and brought us to this happy moment in our lives.
