Condolences to his family, and to the family of scholars he built. I had the strange privilege of receiving guest classes from him in two institutions, consecutively, both of which he was not affiliated full-time to – the Madras School of Economics and CDS. I had just completed my MSc at MSE in 2005, moved to CDS for MPhil, and lo and behold there he was again at CDS, much to my delight!
