An era of CDS draws to close. My condolences to Vaidya's family.
   Raman Kutty <kuttyr@gmail.com>
Very sad news. He didn't teach us as he had left Trivandrum by then. I had occasion to meet him in several meetings as he took a keen interest in researching morbidity and mortality. And of course Rama is a dear friend. He had the reputation of an outstanding teacher
Sudha Mahalingam <mahalingamsudha@gmail.com>
By the time i joined CDS, he had already moved to MIDS, so I missed out on his instructions, but had met him on a few occasions. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

Still remember his always smiling face.
It is really a sad news although he has lived his life fully. The Indian economy will miss
 his sharp insight.
May his soul rest in peace. Rajaram
