CROSSING GUARDS
The Buffalo Grove Police Department Traffic Unit manages the school crossing guard program. It is comprised of seven full time and four alternate crossing guards that cover seven crossings for six different schools in the Village. It was a safe and successful year for our crossing guard team. We welcomed some new faces and expanded our posts in 2022. This year, two new guards were introduced at the corner
of Arlington Heights Road and Plum Grove Circle to as- sist children attending Cooper Middle School. The crossing guards received their yearly training this year and enjoyed some breakfast at the Continental Restaurant.
These selfless men and women face the elements day in and day out throughout the year to ensure the safe passage of children to and from school. From everyone at the Buffalo Grove Police Department, we would like to thank our crossing guards for a great year!
