According to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, 226 federal, state, tribal and local law enforcement officers died in the line-of-duty in 2022.
In 2022, Buffalo Grove Police Officers attended National Police Memorial Week in Washington, D.C., where they participated in the Candlelight Vigil to honor the many officers who lost their lives. National Police Week offers honor, remembrance, and peer support, while allowing law enforcement, survivors, and citizens to gather and pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line
of duty.
Throughout 2022, officers from the Buffalo Grove Police Department offered condolences to agencies around the nation by signing condolence cards for the families and departments who have experienced a loss – another small way to express our support and honor those who gave their lives.
