BORDER ASSEMBLY:
Although we all sew with a 1/40 seam allowance, there may be slight variances by machine or
person. Measure the width and height of your quilt at this stage of completion. Then, cut the length of your borders accordingly.
When sewing borders, be careful not to stretch the fabric. A wavy border will result. Simply lay the border on the pressed quilt top and pin to position.
Create Borders:
1. To achieve the necessary length for each border, place [2] fabric strips RST. Sew seam across the short end. Open and press.
2. Measure length. Add additional strip if neces- sary to achieve desired length.
3. Trim excess fabric.
Border #1, Inside:
1. Using the Town Word Toss, Teal, fabric create [2] Top/Bottom Borders, 2-1/20 3 48-1/20.
2. Create [2] Side Borders, 2-1/20 3 60-1/20. Collectible Store Block Border:
