FINISHING:
Create the Backing:
1. Using 40” wide fabric, cut [2] 980 3 WOF.
2. Using a 1/2” seam allowance, sew together
along the long side. Press.
3. Layer quilt top, batting, and backing. Then, quilt as desired.
Create Binding:
1. Cut [9] strips 2-1/2” x WOF. Remove selvages.
2. Overlap [2] strips at the ends. Draw a diagonal line corner to corner where the strips meet.
3. Sew on the line. Open the strip to verify the diagonal stitching was sewn the correct direction to create a binding strip.
4. Cut excess fabric 1/4” from seam. Press.
[12] store blocks were placed in the quilt blocks. Arrange the substituted squares amongst the store blocks.
2. Create [2] side borders with [12] units.
3. Create [2] top and bottom borders with [16] units and [2] Kona Brown, Chocolate 4-1/20 squares for the corners.
4. Sew units together. Use a pressing cloth or press from the back side.
Border #2, Middle:
1. Using the Town Word Toss Teal fabric create [2] top and bottom borders, 2-1/20 3 60-1/20.
2. Create [2] side borders, 2-1/20 3 72-1/20. Border #3, Outside:
1. Using the Vintage Postcard Toss fabric, create [2] top and bottom borders, 6-1/20 3 72-1/20.
2. Create [2] side borders, 6-1/20 3 76-1/20. Attach Borders:
1. Attach side borders. Press.
2. Attach top and bottom borders. Press.
3. Repeat the process for each border.
5.
Fold binding in half lengthwise. Press.
