Cut [3] — 90 strips
From [2] strips, subcut [8] — 90 squares.
From [1] strip, subcut [2] — 90 squares Then, trim remainder of strip down to a 4-1/20 strip
Subcut [2] — 4-1/20 squares Cut [2] — 50 strips
Subcut [14] — 50 squares
Cut [3] — 1-1/20 strips
Subcut [2] — 1-1/20 3 40-1/20 rectangle Subcut[2] — 1-1/20 3 18-1/20 rectangles
From Vintage Postmark Toss Fabric:
Cut [1] — 200 3 400 rectangle
Cut [1] — 50 3 WOF strip
Subcut [4] — 50 squares
Subcut [4] — 4-1/20 squares (for 1 inner star)
From Vintage Postcard Toss Fabric:
Cut [1] — 50 strip
Subcut [8] — 50 squares (for 2 inner stars)
Cut [1] — 4-1/20 strip
Subcut [8] — 4-1/20 squares (for 2 inner stars)
BLOCK ASSEMBLY:
Large Star Points
1. Using [10] — 90 Black squares and [10] – 90 Grunge Basics, Stiletto background squares. Draw a line diagonally across the back of each 90 background square.
2. PlaceaBlacksquareandabackground
square with RST, and sew on both sides
of the diagonal line. Cut on the diagonal
line. Open and press to the black. trim
down to 8-1/20 squares. Makes [8] – 1-1/20 HSTs.
3. Using [2] — 50 Black squares and [2] – 50 Grunge Basics, Stiletto background squares, make HSTs using steps 1 and 2. Trim to 4-1/20 squares. Makes [4] – 4-1/20 black/background HSTs for Unit 1 - Section 2.
Inner Star Points
1. Using [8] — 50 Black squares and [8] — 50 Vintage Postcard Toss squares, make HSTs using the same technique above. Trim to 4-1/20 square. Makes [16] – 4-1/20 HSTs.
2. Using[4]—50Blacksquaresand[4]–50
Vintage Postmark Toss squares, make HSTs using the same technique above. Trim to 4-1/20 square. Makes [8] — 4-1/20 HSTs.
