Small Star Points
Pair as follows:
[14] each of background and Word Toss Teal 50
squares. [28] – 4-1/20 HSTs will make [4] stars. [8] each of background and Word Toss Gold 50
squares. [16] – 4-1/20 HSTs will make [2] stars.
[17] each of background and Grunge Olive 50 squares
[34] – 4-1/20 HSTs will make [5] stars.
1. Make HSTs using the same technique from above
and trim to 4-1/20 square. Star Centers
All the star centers are a finished 80 block. You can choose what you want in your centers. We have used all of these techniques for the centers of our stars.
1. Fussy cut 8-1/20 squares from Vintage Postcard Toss print.
2. Use [4] of the 4-1/20 AMOSH Collectible Quilt Blocks to create a center square. Sew the [4] squares together to create a 8-1/20 square.
3. Use [2] of the 4-1/20 AMOSH Collectible Quilt Blocks and cut [2] – 4-1/20 from the Vintage Post- mark Toss fabric. Sew the [4] squares together to create a 8-1/20 square.
4. Use the AMOSH State block or Regional squares and use it as a 8-1/20 block.
5. Add triangles to the side of the Regional 6-1/20 square to make it a 8-1/20 square for your center.
Unit 1
Unit 1 - Section 1. Measures 24-1/20 3 24-1/20
Use [4] – 8-1/20 Black/background half square units, [1] – 8-1/20 background square, [8] – 4-1/20 Black/ Vintage Postcard Toss HST, [4] – 4-1/20 inner Vintage Postcard Toss squares, and [1] 8-1/20 center block.
1. Sew [2] – 4-1/20 Black/Vintage Postcard Toss HST together and press. Make [4] of these inner star points.
2. Arrangethe[4]innerstar
points, [4] 4-1/20 inner star
fabric squares and the 8-1/20 center block. Sew the units together in rows and press to- wards the squares and center block. Nest the seams and sew
the rows, together as shown. Press.
3. Sew [2] – 8-1/20 Black/background HST together and press. Make [2] of these large star points.
