4. Arrange the unit just sewn, [4] star points units, [2] – 4-1/20 background squares, [1] – 4-1/20 3 8-1/20 background rectangle, and the [2] center units as shown. Sew the units together in rows, then press in opposite directions. Nest the seams and sew the units together to complete this left unit.
5. Sew a 4-1/20 background square to the top of a 4-1/20 Grunge Olive/background HST. Press. Sew a 4-1/20 3 8-1/20 background rectangle to the right side. Press. This will be unit A. In a similar manner, sew a 4-1/20 background square to the bottom
of a 4-1/20 Grunge Olive/background HST. Press. Sew a 4-1/20 3 8-1/20 background rectangle to the right side. Press.This will be unit B. Arrange unit A, [2] – star points units, [1] center unit, and unit B as shown. Sew the units together and press. This is the right unit.
8. Sew the top unit from Step 1 to the top. Sew the 4-1/20 3 24-1/20 background rectangle to the bottom. Press.

Unit 2 - Section 2. Measures 40-1/20 3 20-1/20
1. Take a piece of light fusible Heat-n-Bond, large enough to cover the word “Missouri” and fuse it to the back of your panel. Once it has been fused, cut out the word Missouri. Peel the paper backing off and discard. Fuse the cutout onto the center of the Vintage Postmark Toss fabric, then appliqué using your favorite stitch. Trim the appliquéd rectangle to 18-1/20 3 38-1/2.
2. Add the Black 1-1/20 3 18-1/20 strip to each side of the panel, press, then add the black 1-1/20 3 40-1/20 strip to the top and bottom. Press.
Unit 2 - Section 3. Measures 40-1/20 3 8-1/20
Use [2] – 4-1/20 Grunge Olive/background HST, [1]
– 8-1/20 3 12-1/20 background rectangle, [2] – 8-1/20 black/background half square triangles, [1] – 4-1/20 3 8-1/20 background rectangle, and [2] – 4-1/20 Word Toss Gold/background HST.
1. Sew the [2] – Grunge Olive/background HST together to make a star points unit. Press. In the same manner, sew the [2] – Word Toss Gold/back- ground HST to make a star points unit.
2. Arrange the [2] star points units, the 8-1/20 3 12-1/20 background rectangle, the [2] – 8-1/20 black/back- ground HST, and the 4-1/20 3 8-1/20 background rectangle. Sew the units together and press towards the rectangles.
Unit 2 - Section 4. Measures 40-1/20 3 16-1/20
Use [8] – 4-1/20 Vintage Postcard Toss/black HST, [4] – 4-1/20 Vintage Postcard Toss squares, [5] – 8-1/20 Black/background HSTs, [1] – 8-1/20 background square, and [1] – 8-1/20 center block.

6. Sew the left and right units together. Press.
7. Sew the 4-1/20 3 32-1/20 background rectangle to the left side.
