CDTS Service Areas
The Northern California Service Areas
• The Northern California revenues are projected to reach $26.6B for 2016 with expenses at $25.5B. The Care Delivery Technology Services (CDTS) NCAL team serves the Northern California Region, providing strategic planning and execution of business initiatives, spread of national capabilities, and optimization of operations. Our mission is to provide technology enablement to support KP differentiation in the market with affordable, quality care solutions for the NCAL Region’s 4,000,000 members and patients.

• The CDTS-NCAL team provides end-to-end IT service management for the Northern California Region through the following areas of focus:

Portfolio Mgmt Office
Service and Delivery
KP Health-Connect
Continuum of Care
Technology Innovation
KP School of Medicine
Supports Northern California business partners with technology strategy and planning, solution consulting, and rapid solution delivery to create business value aligned to regional and national strategic priorities
Manages delivery of programs and projects in the CDTS-NCAL portfolio, engaging with stakeholders and delivery partners to define and drive necessary funded initiatives
Fourteen service areas led by an Area Information Officer (AIO), whose team supports and oversees medical center IT operations, facility IT projects, IT strategic planning, investment decision making at the facility, and other facility IT governance
Maintains, enhances and provides production support for KP’s electronic medical record system
Improves affordability of care while advancing both quality and service through identifying current and future business capabilities; transforms care for members and patients; and builds a multi-year strategic technology portfolio
Influences and promote innovation activities to align with business strategies; Connects people, projects and technologies;
Supports work in strategic portfolios;
Maintains 360° view of innovation activities; Promotes collaboration and sharing
In partnership with key business stakeholders, drives the technology roadmap needed to provide key KP School of Medicine services and support
