For many years, Wyland has been planning a series of life-size sculptures of all the great whale species and other aquatic animals. Wyland completed his 100 Whaling Walls and is now focusing on creating monumental sculptures in bronze, Lucite, and other mediums with water feature elements for 100 officially designated cities throughout the world. This twenty-five year project will include life-size and larger-than-life sculptures. Again, the idea is using public art to create awareness and an emotional bond with the marine animals and conservation.
