Rupert the White Sheep”.

Allow the children to answer, “it's a rabbit”.
“Yes, that is right. Her name is Pippa the Rabbit. What do you know about rabbits?”
Allow the children to answer “Pippa the rabbit eat carrots, they have long ears, they hop”.
“Does anyone know where a rabbit sleeps?”
Allow the children to answer, “in a hutch, in a burrow”“.
“Where is a rabbit’s burrow?”
Allow the children to answer, “in the field, underground”.
“That's right, rabbits like to hop around on the grass in the day, but they go underground at night to sleep. Who might the rabbit see underground?”
Allow the children to answer, “a worm”.
“That's right. Pippa the Rabbit may see a worm when she goes underground to sleep. Shall we learn the movement for Pippa?” Allow the children to answer, “yes”.
“Let’s stand up. We said that rabbits have long ears, and go underground to go to sleep.” Demonstrate the movement.
Allow time for the children to copy the movement.
“Before we say goodbye to Pippa the Rabbit, can we practise all of the movements together?” Show the children the card of each animal in turn and have them demonstrate
the related movements.
18. “Brilliant. Well done everyone.”
 More to Learn: Support:
Rabbits live underground. Children in reception will begin to know Rabbits live underground. Before this age they tend to
think of rabbits in hutches. Teach this animal after the other animals.
