WHAT HAPPENS IF AN EMPLOYEE
BECOMES SYMPTOMATIC AT WORK?
If an employee begins to experience symptoms at work, the
employee will be immediately isolated.
Each work location will identify an area where this can occur
if their personal workspace is not an option. The worker will
not touch any surfaces while in route to this area.
If the worker is able, they will take themselves home
to begin their quarantine. They will notify their medical
provider who will instruct them on what they should do
medically. They will also notify their supervisor and local
PeopleTeam partner. Partners can be found in Appendix I.
If their symptoms are severe, 9-1-1 will be called
and their guidance will be followed.
Once the employee is off the premises, any employees
who came in contact will be identified and asked to self-
quarantine. The work area will undergo a deep cleaning.
