                         Dr. George Bahay Graduates from Optometry School

                                                   It is with great pleasure that the graduation  of Dr.
                                                   George Bagay is announced from Midwestern Uni-
                                                   versity’s Chicago College of Optometry in May 2025.
                                                   Dr. Bagay, also an Eagle Scout, grew up in Pittsburgh,
                                                   PA, attended Bishop Canevin Catholic High School
                                                   and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Kent
                                                   State University. While studying optometry, Dr. Bagay
                                                   built a strong foundation in clinical practice through
                                                   his externships at Chicago Cornea Consultants, Mid-
                                                   west Eye, Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health
                                                   Care Center and the Midwestern University Eye In-
                                                   stitute.
                                                   Dr. George Bagay is the son of Joann Bagay and a
                                                   former parishioner of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic
                                                   Church in McKees, Rocks, PA. Dr. Bagay will begin an
                                                   optometry practice in Indiana in June.

                                Torres Family Visits Dominican Republic


                On Bright Monday, April 21, 2025,
                GCU members and parishioners of
                St. Mary BC Church in Trenton, NJ.,
                made a humanitarian visit to the
                Dominican Republic. Juan Torres,
                Nicholas Torres and Dr. Emily Tor-
                res, traveled to the DR and deliv-
                ered 100 coloring books and cray-
                on boxes to the children in Juan
                Torres’ hometown school in Inoa.
                The children were very happy to
                receive the gifts from the GCU.
