FOUNDERS MESSAGE

his very first newsletter stems from a recent rejection. I expressed interest in writing for an industry pub-
lication, invested time editing, getting feedback and deciding upon the subject only to have my article re-
jected. The content of my submission was riddled with optimism as it was focused on speaking a future
initiative into existence. It’s not that the initiative won’t get approved it’s the ask of an existing organization

to implement change that is constructively disruptive. I understand that speaking about future plans can be
a risk. However, it can also hold us accountable.

I understand that accountability can be frightening. All the what if’s of potential failure plague our minds
but what if we couldn’t fail? What if we never lost but always won and learned? As I worked diligently to es-
tablish this business I’ve felt like a failure many times. When I started this business I thought my twelve
years in the Army, Masters in Hospitality Management and passion towards wanting to see others win
would be enough. Fortunately, entrepreneurship is less about pedigree and more about handling change,

rejection and the unknown. The mantra is not to say that failure never happens, instead it’s about changing
your perspective. Everything that you speak into existence may not occur exactly as you imagined but
through the process you become accountable to your objectives which leads to learning and winning.

So, although this journey continues to be challenging. I’ve learned to adjust to the ups and downs. I’ve be-
come less critical of myself and aware of my value. I believe not only in the power of speaking things into
existence but the power of collaboration. Therefore, I will create an exchange platform that promotes under
represented professionals in the meetings & events industry. I will continue to advocate for inclusion & di-
versity and I will always support those ready to implement change.

As you read this newsletter understand the goal is to highlight you as an eventpreneur. The person behind

the scenes, pre-planning, setting up, decorating, taking photos, prepping food, managing staff, curating
sounds and much more. Not only do you deserve recognition for your talent and skills, you deserve to learn
more about the resources available to scale your business and explore business exchange opportunities
beyond your current understanding or perceived limitations. We believe in you because we are you! Our
Team is Your Team!
