Fitchburg Greenway Committee
Awarded $12,000 for the continuation of the Rollstone Hill Trail Construction Project. Will complete construction of Trail Segments 2 and 3. Trail Segment 2: Bruce Street Switchback Trail; Trail Segment 3: Eastern Loop Trail.
Massachusetts Audubon
Society Inc.
Awarded $5,864 to partner with Gardner High School to share benefits of nature- based play and learning with low-income children with STEMs from Nature.
Mount Grace Land
Conservation Trust
Awarded $15,000 to provide Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education and therapeutic recovery walks on our properties in Athol, Orange, Phillipston and Royalston with local schools and the recovery community.
North County Land Trust
Awarded $15,000 to complete and begin Phase I of the implementation of a Regional Strategic Conservation Plan for north central Massachusetts.
Nashua River Watershed Association, Inc.
Awarded $10,000 to support the “Between Phases of the Nashua, Squannacook, and Nissitissit Rivers Wild and Scenic River Study: Still Transitioning from Study Committee to Stewardship Council.” program.
Second Chance Animal Services
Awarded $9,200 to provide low cost and free vaccine clinics in the community that also include access to free spay/neuter to keep the community healthy and pets in their homes.
Virginia Thurston Healing Garden
Awarded $6,100 for funding for a Master Gardener to maintain gardens and grounds and supervise 6-12 volunteer gardeners,
as well as provide stipends for facilitators running therapeutic nature therapy programs in these gardens and grounds.
