DEVELOPMENT FUND
Central Massachusetts Library Advocates
Awarded $7,000 to provide continuing education opportunities and to purchase supplies, equipment, and third party services. Grant will solidly establish the CMLA as a member supported organization.
Clear Path for Veterans New England
Awarded $5,500 to expand the veteran programs and services, specifically a ‘financial sustainability strategy’ effort. This will support the development of a strategic plan, including funds development and donor management strategies and action plans.
LaunchSpace, Inc.
Received $10,000 for funding for critical technical assistance for active operation of the makerspace and studios over the next three months. Includes member recruitment and organization, Staff training, Program design/implementation, marketing and outreach and strategic and business planning.
Literacy Volunteers of Orange- Athol
Awarded $10,000 to implement a model for improved training and support for volunteer tutors. Results include, quality of services, retention of tutors, creation of a sharing community of LVOA tutors.
Literacy Volunteers of the
Montachusett Area
Awarded $6,711 to increase its organizational fundraising capacity and, organizational capacity to fulfill its mission to provide free, basic literacy and ESOL tutoring for adults in the Montachusett Area. Funds are to hire fundraising consultant for training, technical assistance and outlay of best practices.
EDUCATIONAL ACCESS FUND
Fitchburg State University
Received $25,652 for a scholarship award earned by working as researchers or mentors in the Summer Research Collaborative (SRC) at FSU – Research program designed to better prepare students for careers/advanced degrees in STEM fields. Research will benefit businesses, average citizens, municipalities and local nonprofits.
Mount Wachusett Community College
Received $30,000 for the CFNCM Career Focused Education Scholarship will enhance opportunities for all North Central Massachusetts residents of all ages to attend MWCC and pursue and accelerate their path to a quality post-secondary education.
