South Shore Conservatory
Youth Orchestra
The South Shore Conservatory Youth Orchestra (SSCYO) has been in
partnership with the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra since its inception
in 2007. Under the direction of Elijah Langille, the SSCYO is an auditioned,
sequential youth orchestra program that provides an opportunity for
dedicated youth musicians in grades 4 through college a place to perform
symphonic music in a supportive full orchestra program. Artistic Advisor
Steven Karidoyanes meets and rehearses with the students three times a
year. The senior orchestra of SSCYO joins the Phil in concert every-other
season. Auditions for SSCYO are ongoing, and additional information is
available on the SSCYO website at sscmusic.org.
