Dear Friends,

Welcome to Made in America! Tonight, we
embark on a musical journey that captures
the essence of American spirit and artistry.
From Bernstein’s dazzling Overture to Candide to Joan Tower’s
powerful Made in America—a piece the Phil proudly premiered in
New England in 2005—this program reflects the bold, innovative,
and deeply moving landscape of American music. And what better
way to culminate the evening than with Copland’s Symphony No.
3, a work that embodies the ambition, hope, and resilience we
        associate with our great nation.

As we continue our season, themed Better Together, I am reminded
of the incredible sense of unity that music fosters. Whether through
iconic compositions, community partnerships, or simply the shared
experience of a live performance, the Phil remains committed to
creating connections that inspire and uplift.

To our musicians, staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and
all of you in the audience tonight—thank you. Your support fuels
our mission and ensures that symphonic music thrives in our
        community.

Enjoy the concert, and let’s celebrate the power of music—
        together!

        Warmly,

        Kara E. McEachern
        Executive Director
