Wang Youth Concerto Competition
Winner, pianist Sudarshan Krishnan,
is a junior at Duxbury High School.
The 16-year-old is an all-state
trumpet player, runs Varsity cross
country, and holds a black belt in
Tae Kwon Do. In addition, Sudarshan
is advanced in mathematics, having
completed his high school curriculum, and is
now pursuing college courses. He has won Super Summa
Awards for academic and character excellence across the board. Along
with winning the 2023 Youth Concerto Competition, he won the 2021 Piano
Competition and the 2020 Russian music competition. Recently, Sudarshan
spent a month in India to connect with his heritage, reinforcing his respect
and love for his own cultural tradition.
