Performance at Memorial Hall
T he wildly talented classical-crossover trio Time for Three – recent
winner of two Grammy awards - performs a benefit concert just
for the Phil!
Time for Three stands at the busy intersection of Americana, modern
pop, and classical music. That’s not the place you’d expect to find three
classically trained string musicians. But it’s a really good place to push
boundaries and defy convention.
“(We) are like-minded misfits of music who need to pioneer our own way.
We all realized at some point it was empowering Time for Three has a little fun during sound check at a concert,
to lean in versus lay back. Music is fun, deep, and performing “Stand by Me.”
spiritual. After a while, if you allow it to, it just takes
over and pushes ya right where you need to go.”
-Time for Three in an interview with
The Violin Channel
