Performing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony for a packed
house. Hearing the chorus rise up during the Ode to Joy
gave me full-body chills—it was one of those rare
moments where everyone in the room, orchestra and Community
audience alike, felt entirely unified. I will always Spotlight
remember looking over at my stand partner and seeing
her wiping tears from her eyes.
