THE COLOURFUL
FINLANDIA MARMELADE
THE STORY
The tradition of the Finlandia marmelade, Fazer’s first export product, goes back over 100 years.
As early as 1902, Fazer fruit marmelade was sent as a coronation present to King Edward VII
of the UK. An exact copy of St. Edward’s Crown was printed on the
wooden Coronation marmelade box.
In 1948, the name Coronation was changed to Finlandia,
but the box still carries a picture of the fabulous
coronation crown as a memento.
