Shee discoveredd her love ffor performiing arts as a

young girl in chuurch where sshe began singing and pplaying the ddrum set. Byy age 18, Ritta
joined the Unitedd States Armmy as a drummer in the 441st Army NNational Guarrd Band. Shhe

earneed the rank of Sergeantt and ended her time inn service aftter 9 years. While in thhe
militaary, she obtaained a Bachhelor’s Degrree from Jackkson State UUniversity wwhere she alsso

pledgged Delta Siggma Theta SSorority, Inc. Rita launchhed her Raddio Broadcasting career aas

a stuudent at JSUU and after graduating, became a rradio host aand produceer for N-P-RR-
affiliaate, Mississiippi Public BBroadcastingg.

In 20013, Rita madde a sharp career turn annd respondedd to a nudginng from Godd to do standd-

up coomedy. Sincee then, she hhas made greeat strides inn the entertaainment induustry in a verry

short time. She has been thhe opening act for somme of the biiggest namees in standuup
comeedy, includinng Jay Anthony Brown, Sommore, and the latee Dick Greggory. In 20166,

she mmet Comediian and Raddio-Personality, Rickey Smiley, and he took hher under his
wings as a menntee. She offten tours wwith him onn “The Rickkey Smiley and Friendds

Tour””. Summer 2017, Rita made the bbig decision to become a full-time Comediennee,

and ssoon thereaftter met comeedy mogul, KKevin Hart. She was onee of four commedians fromm
Missiissippi seleccted by Hart to feature oon his Comeddy Central ttelevision seeries, “Hart oof

the CCity”. With ggreat dedicaation and divvine guidancce, Rita is wworking towaard becominng
“the nnext big thinng” from Mississippi!
