        How to reduce weight and
        noise in automotive hinges

The automotive industry is notoriously difficult
to satisfy, especially with such high standards
in every area of production. Utilising Igus
products within the car’s design, not only
reduces weight and noise but is also more cost-
effective than their metal counterparts. Hinges are a case in point, as this video illustrates. There
are numerous throughout a vehicle, including multilink hinges in the engine compartment, in
convertible top kinematics, in spoiler kinmatics, in boot hinges and more. Read more here

        RS introduces comprehensive
        machine safety range from Pilz

RS Components is now stocking a new,
comprehensive range of critical machine safety
devices from Pilz. The portfolio includes the
        compact, easy-to-install, and versatile PNOZsigma
safety relays and the PSEN opII4H light curtains for
enhanced worker protection. Ideal for monitoring E-STOP, safety gates, and light barriers,
PNOZsigma safety relays come in narrow housings, offering maximum functionality in minimum
width. They are flexible and easy to install and maintain. Read more here

        Sick’s PBS pressure sensor combines

multiple functions in a single device

Sick has upgraded its pressure sensor offering with the versatile and
multifunctional PBS Plus, combining electronic pressure control,
measurement and real-time monitoring in one IO-Link enabled
device. The next-generation SICK PBS Plus combines application
versatility and high-machine availability with an improved
measurement capability between 0.4 and 1000 bar (gauge pressure). The high 0.5% accuracy, and
a scalable analogue output with 5:1 turn-down ratio, supports the ability to set even small
measurement ranges to suit the application. Read more here
