                                   Mika dismissed her “I usually

spend my lunchtime in dis class so I

suggest you go ask annoda classmate to

guh help you round”. “Well I was gonna

tell my friend bout the drawing she was

eyeing earlier but you so rude so I’ll leave

yuh to yuh business”Lori turned to walk

out. Mika paused her writing and looked

up in shock then smiled at her”You

talking di donkey wid fire for eyes”. Lori

exclamed “ Oh so now you fussy, you eva

hear of di steel donkey”. Mika replied “ No

I neva hear nothing of a sort”.

Lori joked “ Girl you sure you

bajan”. The girls quickly began acquainted

with each other over their shared love of

folk tales. Mika’s mother used to tell her

stories all the time when she was younger

but as she got older her mother stopped

the storytelling and started pushed her to

do the best in her schoolwork.
