Love at first sight	Charisma & Aden 16.1hh black mare born in 1997 / 16.1hh grey gelding born in 1995
These magnificent horses have both retired from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and are really enjoying each other’s company. Aden, the gorgeous grey gelding, served as a Trumpeter’s horse in The Life Guards for 17 years where he took part in all major ceremonial events such as The Royal Wedding in 2011. Charisma, the very beautiful black mare, also took part in all major ceremonial events and was a real favourite due to her calm temperament. Both enjoyed annual HCMR Training Camp where all the Regiment take part in a variety of training activities including cross country, show jumping and competitive sports. Aden was a keen swimmer and loved splashing around in the water, and Charisma excelled in the jumping. Although they both had very successful working lives, they could only admire each other from afar as they never worked side by side. Now they are enjoying a great partnership in their well-deserved retirement here at The Horse Trust during their twilight years.

Who is the mighty Caesar?
If you don’t know who this black beauty is, then where have you been? We welcomed this striking retired Thames Valley Police horse that is ‘the mighty Caesar’ to our team this year. Caesar was the largest police horse in this section
and was the Sergeant’s horse due to being extremely brave and imposing. His confident presence made him a very successful security horse, providing close protection to the Royal Family. Many of his job roles were dangerous, including being around large violent crowds attacking the police, including the horses. Caesar has a large following on
social media and is loved by members of the public thanks to his striking appearance and loveable character. He sent our social media into overdrive when we announced that he was retiring with us! Follow us on Facebook to get the
latest updates on what our bold beauty is up to.
