East Los Angeles, CA October 3, 1944
Well here it is late in September 1944, The day before my mom's birthday. It's been a nice day, 60
to 73 degrees, and a busy day, getting jostled around while Mom was going somewhere. I am here in
Huntington Park California on my way to the hospital, to see my mom (from a different view point of course)
my doctor and later my Dad.
I was a little late in getting here, I stopped to talk to some nice people but I am ready now. It is
about 9;00 Clock pm. My Mom and Dad are here, and the Doctor and a nurse.
It was an uneventful trip over the 9 months and Mom took good care of me. There won't be much I
can say until 3 or 4 yeans from now because I don't know how to talk yet. I guess what I'm supposed to do
is shut up and start this again later when I learn how to talk more. wow this is important kind of ancestry
and I really better buckle down

Chapter 38 Chapter 38 --
Well they took me home to our little house, on Ransom Street a few days later. This is where I'll be
until I can learn to write some more. 2123 Ransom Street, they said it was located in Bandini, I think it was
in Montebello. I think this was my folks first house they owned. They were renting an Apartment when
Loraine arrived.
The house was a two bedroom 1 bath house on a lot with a fairly large backyard. In fact there was
a Patio along the rear fence. The Patio was made from rescued stuff. Dad was always a collector of stuff
he picked up, he thought he could always find a use for it or he could sell it for something, usually for more
than what he had to pay for it.
The patio, or should I call it a shed, was built with slats on the roof and side
Directly behind the house, was one of our neighbors, they had a son my age so we made friends.
We did everything together. His name was WES. I guess at the time I was just learning things.
Let me tell you about the house. As you walked up the three front steps, and went inside the front
door, heading west. It 0was a raised foundation and you walked into what I would call the living room ,
that's what we called it then, straight head would be the kitchen which included the sink etc on the right
and as you turned west again there was a large table with a booth in the corner.
