GRADE 7

Grade 7 students had the topic “Waste Free Oceans”.
Students explored what microplastics and microbeads
are and understood the impairment done by them in our
environment. They came up with facts about why they

are harmful to the environment, particularly to marine
           life

Through a range of interactive activities students
found out how these microbeads are used by us daily
and how we are indirectly killing marine species. They
presented their understanding through PPTs and

charts and explained how microplastics end up in the
           ocean and pollute the water.

Students discussed about how plastic pollution affects
the UAE and other parts of the world, looked at
microbeads and created a journey map of plastics to

marine animals and humans, with a picture-matching
game. They also discovered ways to reduce waste from
plastic and suggest alternatives to microbeads. They
came up with many innovative ideas and solution on how

to reuse plastics and make things used by us more
           ecofriendly.

Students also took pledge to save the mother earth
and ocean and free it from the clutches of plastic and
harmful things which is killing other species.
