October is Breast Cancer Awareness
Month, a worldwide annual campaign that
helps to create awareness and draw support
for the early detection, treatment of this
disease as well as palliative care of the
victims.
GIHS observed the Breast Cancer Awareness
Day on 25 October 2018 through an Inter
th
House Awareness Campaign Competition. The
awareness campaign cultivated the knowledge
on breast cancer and invoked sensitivity
towards patients suffering from this disease.

The Emerald House students presented a skit
about a woman who overcame cancer with
the support of her family. Students took pledge
to learn the facts about breast cancer and

started a conversation about breast health, as
information is the best weapon against breast

cancer.
