Inter-house Competitions a major pastoral and the extra-curricular side of a school
which develops in students’ social, team-working and organization (amongst other)
skills. On 25 April, GIHS was a witness to a myriad of activities that was conducted

for the juniors as well as the seniors. Various Inter-House Competitions were held. The
competitions were a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. Whether it
was the melodious solo song and dance competition, story writing or poster making -the
activities helped to bring out the uniqueness in every individual. Spontaneity and
confidence were the hallmarks of the competition. The students left everyone awe-struck
as they presented their talent so immaculately and effortlessly. They were applauded for
their superb performance. The proceedings were delightful, leaving the audience
contended and spellbound with the prospect displayed.
The first inter house activities in the new academic year 2019-2020 were

conducted on 25 April 2019 in different class rooms. The theme of the activity was
“GIHS GOT TALENT”. This was an attempt to bring out the hidden skills and talents in
the students’. Different activities were planned and conducted in the assigned
classrooms.
‘Painting with nature’ was the activity for grades 4 & 5.The objective of this coloring
competition was to convince the students on the importance of using natural materials
like leaves, soil, fruits etc. in coloring pictures.
“Talent search’ was the main attraction of the house activity. These activities were
planned for students from grades 6 to 12 and were conducted in the main hall. The
program included Solo dance, Solo song and Mimicry. The judges evaluated the program
and announced the results. The teachers in charge led the program`.
