GIHS kindergarten celebrated Arab Emirate week from 8 -12 September 2019.

The main objectives were:
To name the seven emirates of the UAE.
To recognize the UAE flag.
To know the rulers of the UAE and Dubai.
To explain the most prominent customs and traditions of the UAE.
To know some of the traditional UAE food, to know the traditional costumes,
culture
A thematic assembly was conducted to throw knowledge and awareness of UAE
culture, traditions, and heritage. Arabic department head Mrs: Rajab through an
interactive discussion made the children aware of the authentic values and
customs. Phase2 leader Mrs:Farida explained about the Islamic values by
displaying the model of a ‘Kaaba’ Students were encouraged to speak about UAE
through a show and tell activity. Students were made aware about the’ YEAR OF
TOLERANCE’ and the values related They were taught the values of kindness,
humanity and religious tolerance by some real-life experiences. Most children have
a very good understanding of the UAE culture and heritage at the end of the Arab
Emirate Week.
