The preliminary rounds were conducted to select the semifinalists. All
participants displayed good competitive spirit. Each participant vied for the first
position. There was an air of expectancy and urgency while the races were being
conducted. Students cheered their favorite participants with claps and whistles.
Towards the end of the different races, the winners clearly emerged.
