The Prophet's Birthday, or Milad un Nabi , is celebrated in most of
the Muslim countries and in UAE as well. The day is celebrated to
commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is
celebrated in the third month of the Islamic calendar.
The day was celebrated in GIHS with multifarious activities to
spread awareness of an example for all of humanity. Prophet
Mohammed PBUH was always a remarkable man. He excelled in all
walks of life by being a prophet, ruler, orator, soldier, husband,
friend, father, uncle, nephew, and a grandfather. He was a man of
love, patience, courage, wisdom, generosity, intelligence and
magnitude who inspired millions of lives throughout the world. The
session focused on the message of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
and to inculcate in students’ minds some basics of Islam.
The programme started by the recitation of the verses from the
Holy Quran by Master Abdul Rahman followed by the translation by
Master Rayyan. Master Muhammad Mohsin delivered a speech on the
topic “The Last Sermon of the Prophet”. Master Mohsin reflected
the meaning found in the sermon as an astounding message to all of
humanity. His speech was spontaneous and drew the attention of the
audience. There was a beautiful group song (Nasheed) about the
blessed Prophet, to spread the love towards him, performed by
Students of grade 5.
