GRADE 6
Grade 6 Students were inspired to think about the use of
technology to enhance the way we learn. Students were
introduced to Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)
which can expand our senses and the range of environments we
can interact with – the possibilities are almost limitless. In
this session students explored how AR/VR can transform how
they learn about the world, from manipulating mathematics to
visiting volcanoes. They understand how AR/VR will help them
learn skills for specific jobs, and how AR/VR can help every
student to be included in learning experiences.
GRADE 7
Grade 7 students were enabled to explore the future
of mobility by examining the concept of terraforming,
and researching UAE’s vision to push the frontiers of
knowledge and explore new worlds with the National
Space Programme. In this session, students considered
why humanity has always looked to the stars and is
choosing to explore space. They worked in teams to
design solutions on how to create a liveable habitat on
Mars by transforming the surface, before reflecting on
what makes a good society and how to replicate one on
Mars.
