GRADE 1-4
‘Drop Down Day’, also known as ‘off-timetable day’ is filled GRADE 1
with activities used to strengthen students’ practical
application of skills and provide a deeper learning
experience. It allows for learning to extend beyond simply
writing and taking notes.
The ‘Drop Down Day’ offered a chance for students of
Grade 1 to 4 to cement their theoretical knowledge and
illustrated how classroom discussions are in fact useful to
help make sense of the world. The theme for the

Conservation'.
GRADE 1
Grade 1 students took part in the activities vigorously and
masterly.
Different activities were conducted on the theme
WATER CONSERVATION. First activity was to know
about the problems caused by water scarcity. A video
was presented about People of Zambia that how they
suffer from water scarcity to make an awareness among
the students about the significance of water. Grade 1
students were taken for a Water Conservation Campaign.
The campaign rose awareness among the children about
the importance of saving water, to cope with its scarcity
and ensure sustainability.
Children realized and illustrated the problem on the given
water droplets cut outs. Activities such as just a minute
talk (JAM) on Water conservation, poster making, role play,
smart quiz were conducted in the respective classes.
