World Migratory Birds Day 2019 (WMBD)

Theme:- Protect Birds: Be the solution to Plastic Pollution

Objective

To protect the migratory birds and raise the awareness among
the students about reducing plastic use.

World Migratory Bird Day is a global awareness-raising campaign

highlighting the need to protect migratory birds and their habitats. Every

year, World Migratory Bird Day presents an annual theme aiming to
raise awareness of issues affecting migratory birds and to inspire people

and organizations around the world to take measures for their

conservation. This year’s theme − “Protect Birds: Be the Solution to
Plastic Pollution!” − will put the spotlight on the negative impact of

plastic pollution on migratory birds and their habitats.

Gulf Indian High School celebrated World Migratory
Bird Day with its full value. Children participated in various activities

like, Poster Making, Slogan writing, Power Point Presentation and Quiz.
