To enhance Tamil learning, students showcased

their language skills in various activities like skit,
song, speech, debate, poster making and story
writing.

All the activities were specially designed to

increase students’ interest and confidence to
speak in Tamil language in daily life as a second
language. The activities were conducted with the

motive to enhance the vocabulary, language skills
and make learning more enjoyable. Teacher

motivated the students to choose and read

different language books from our multilingual
library.

The aim of the Language week was to enhance the
LSRW skills of the students in an unconventional

method and make learning more enjoyable.

There are many ways to understand other cultures and
language is very important. Languages broaden our horizons.
After all, in an increasingly interconnected and globalized
world, the importance of learning different languages cannot
be understated. Thus, it is vital that students cultivate a
positive learning attitude and perception towards the
languages to ensure higher levels of proficiency and

understanding.

The students perceived the fact that when they come together,
extraordinary things happen. Better ideas, better
experiences, and a better future for all.

In conclusion, by celebrating the Language Week- 2019, the
students of GIHS demonstrated a clear and passionate
understanding and awareness of their own and others'
cultures.
