PLANT GROWTH

OBJECTIVES ❖ To explore the effect of light, water and soil
additives on plant growth.

Students were asked to investigate the growth of
three common garden plants such as tomatoes, bean,

and turnips. They dragged seeds, water, fertilizer and
compost to the pots. They changed the seeds, the

amount of water, light etc. in each pot and observed

the effect of each variable. From this activity students

were able to determine what conditions produced the
tallest and healthiest plants.
