REPORT ON INTER HOUSE CHESS COMPETITION (2019-2020)

The Department of Physical Education organized the Inter House Chess
Competition selection trials for the girls’ section from grades 5 to 9 during
the P.E. classes from 14 May 2019 to 18 May 2019.

The practice sessions were conducted during the P.E. classes, under the
able guidance of the morning session Physical Education teachers-Mrs.
Aswathy and Ms. Athira.

All students of grade 5 to 12 took part in the practice sessions
enthusiastically and among them, 168 students were selected for the
competition. Among the 168 students, 80 students qualified for the first
round. Moving ahead, 25 students qualified for the second round.

The final round of the Inter House Chess Competition for the students of
grade 5 to 12 was conducted on 26 May 2019 & 27 May 2019. It was a

day filled with fervor and excitement, experienced amidst thrills, shrills
and cheers.
