Cobh GAA

    There was great excitement Cobh GAA club this week when over 150 passengers
    from the National Geographic Cruise liner came to watch the u16/minors display the
    great skills of our national game. Well done to all who played a part in the game.
    The spectators enjoyed listening to some traditional Irish music afterwards in the
    club.

    Result from Lisgoold in JAFC, Glenbower Rovers 2-10 Cobh 2-8. Hard luck lads a
    good and close game but wasn’t meant to be today

                             Rushbrooke Rowing Club
    Big thanks to Blackrock Rowing Club for hosting the first championship regatta
    of the season. Well done to all members and crews, Rushbrooke brought home 6
    silver medals and a bronze medal, brilliant rowing from crews
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                               Cobh Basketball Club

    U12 - U16 street leagues starting Wednesday 22nd May in Rushbrooke school.
    U8 - U11 starting Sat 1st June in the community centre.

    Please let Chloe or Jen know by next week if your child would like to take part.
    €5 to register and €1 for every game

    Well done to our u9 boys who played in their last tournament on Saturday. Great
    basketball played all season by this group.

    Street leagues will be staring soon, U9 - U11 (Sat mornings) and U12 - U16
    (midweek) if you would like to take part make sure to text your coach letting them
    know.

    Congrats to the U12s who had a great win against Bantry in their Top 4 Semi
    Final. They now play Brunell in the Final on the 17th. Well Done Girls!!

                        Scoil Iosaef Naofa – Confirmation
    Congratulations to the pupils in Rang a Sé who received the Sacrament of Confir-
    mation from Bishop Crean on Saturday 11th May. Many thanks to all who prepared
    them for the sacrament – their families, teachers Mr Fleming, Mr. McSweeney, prin-
    cipal Mr Kenneally and Fr. Kelleher.

    Thanks also to the following for making this day such a special occasion – Sr.
    Emanuel, the Faith Friends, Mrs. O’Connell, the priests of the parish, Dominic Finn
    and the Choir, organist Adrian Gebreurs, the stewards, sponsors, the sacristan and
    the altar servers.
