The ATCA participated in MEET THE BREEDS in Orlando,
Florida December 16 and 17, 2017, in conjunction with the
AKC National Championship presented by Royal Canin. At
this event the public is able to see and meet many different
breeds. Different breed clubs present their breed in a variety
of creative ways in individual booths. Over this two day event
many people are able to come in contact with breeds they
are not familiar with and may have never seen. There was a
steady flow of visitors, adults and children, each day. Genuine
interest from those attending was gratifying.

Our booth was decorated with banners, Aussies, and
volunteers. There was even time for mentoring an AKC judge.
(Thanks to Marilyn Harban) A new addition to the booth was
a photo album with pictures only. By far the most interesting
part of the booth were the Aussies. We answered questions
and provided printed material. The smiling faces of the visitors
were enough to know we were doing our job introducing our
Aussies.

Several fellow Australian Terrier enthusiasts volunteered their
time to present the breed to the public.

A special thanks to Bill Christensen, Kim Floyd, Marilyn
Harban, Kreg Hill, Dana Kruetzfeldt, Susan Mason, Barb Post,
Nancy Tibbett, Christina Worley, and Pat Zuppan. Without
their help and Aussies this would not have been successful.

In the future I would like to have more people participating
since it is a good way to get to know each other, have lots of
fun, and benefit The ATCA.
