The Australian Terrier Club of America participated
once again in Meet and Compete in New York City,
February 10, 2018. In addition to Meet The Breeds the
Meet The Breed finals of the Westminster Agility competition and the
cat show were available to the public. For someone
who had never been, like me, the number of people
attending was amazing. The huge crowd persisted
without break from the opening at 10 am until closing
at 5 pm. The interest shown in our Aussies by the pub-
lic was exhilarating. Many visitors snapped pictures of
them. However, one of the most unique experiences
of the day was two visitors who sketched them. The
booth was decorated with Alexa’s Aussie throw, ban-
ners, and different props.

The success of ATCA booth was due to the volun-
teers, members and non members.Thanks to Alexa
Samarotto, Pat and Peter Zuppan, Karen Ucci, Karen
Drumm, Heather Rife, Eva Campbell, Susan Mason,
and myself for highlighting our breed at this event! It
was certainly gratifying to have a number of volun-
teers this year. A special thanks to Alexa for always
making the arrangements with AKC and coordinating
the volunteers.

This is the largest Meet The Breed and is great venue
to showcase Aussies and The Australian Terrier Club of
America.

Thanks again to those that made the event successful.
Hopefully in coming years others will get the chance
to participate in this fun, worthwhile endeavor.
